In "modestly fine" weather (pouring rain is actually normal in upper Berg region at this time of year), the invited and, despite the bad weather, numerous participants of the journey met punctually at 11:30 a.m. at the Dieringhausen railway station, where a modern multiple unit of the "LINT" series from the VAREO network of DB Regio was ready as a special train for the inaugural ride to Wiehl. In addition to the two ministers Scharrenbach and Krischer, numerous politicians from state, district and local politics were present.
