To divert the traffic around the site during the construction works, the railway cutting of the Wiehltalbahn had been filled up close to the 'Selkirk factory building' for a temporary additional crossing, after the removal of the rails. Upon completion of the roundabout this additional crossing had to be removed again in order to re-lay the tracks underneath the roundabout.
The additional crossing has been removed (the cutting re-excavated) and the trackbed has been prepared for the re-laying of the tracks.
