This year, the Wiehl Valley Railway will again take part in the nationwide Open Monument Day. The Wiehl Valley Railway line and its buildings are completely listed. This makes the Wiehl Valley Railway probably the "longest" monument in the Upper Berg (Oberberg) district.
From 11 am to 5 pm, the Society for the Preservation of the Wiehl Valley Railway (Förderkreis zur Rettung der Wiehltalbahn e.V.) will open its rooms in the station building. Photos from the history of the Wiehl Valley Railway will be on display. In addition, there will be information about the line and current developments.
Coffee and cake will be served.
Two trolley cars will be available for rides in the station area.
Trolley rides at Waldbröl station
Please note that there is no possibility to park around the Waldbröl station building!
The Preservation Society is still looking for volunteers to help out on the day. We would also appreciate donations of cakes.
For Saturday, 02.09.2023, a clean-up event is planned on the Waldbröl station grounds from 2 pm. We are also looking for helpers here.
