At Osberghausen, track construction works for the renovation of the station track installations have now begun. By this, the 'society for the preservation of the Wiehl valley railway' wants to allow for the removal of the so called 'pine beetle wood' from the upper Berg county.

As Gerhard Mansel from the preservation society stated, many talks and a lot of preparatory work were required, before the Road-rail excavator could move in. Beforehand, active members of the preservation society had pruned the vegetation on the Osberghausen station area.
