For friends of statistics:

In 2021, a total of 40 trains were loaded at the loading ramp of the Wiehl Valley Railway in Osberghausen (we reported) with a tonnage of almost 50,000 tonnes of timber and transported away. Thus, the Wiehl Valley Railway has made a significant contribution to climate protection with a considerable reduction of the CO2 emissions compared to transporting the timber by lorries.

The timber loading is to be continued this year. According to information from Fabian Pinzke, timber loading with one train per week (on Mondays) has been ordered until December 2022.

There may be another interested party for the timber loading. However, there are (still) organisational problems.
